Since 2004, Intrinergy's combined heat and power business has converted cost-competitive biomass into green electricity and thermal energy (steam) for industrial customers, helping to reduce their exposure to fossil fuel price volatility and carbon emissions. Our facilities are reference points for excellence in the biomass energy industry, demonstrating uptime consistently in excess of 99 percent.

Our CHP branch builds, owns, and operates all of Intrinergy’s CHP projects, offering the best in advanced combustion, gasification, and pyrolysis technologies to its customers, and guaranteeing a uniform, reliable supply of biomass feedstock sourced from Enviva Materials. The stability of our operations allows us to offer long-term, fixed-price energy contracts to our clients, with no up-front capital cost to them.

Today, we operate CHP facilities ranging from 3MW to 50MW capacity in Mississippi and the Dominican Republic.
